The Chamber is very pleased to announce its Membership Meeting on September 24 will feature keynote speaker Marilyn Carlson Nelson, chairman of one of the largest privately-held companies in the world.

Under Ms. Nelson's leadership at Carlson Companies, the firm's systemwide sales nearly doubled to $40 billion. She transformed Carlson into a "new model" company and initiated an employee effort that netted more than $200 million in bottom-line process and program improvements.

About the Regional Business Organization Conference (RBOC)
Nearly 20 chambers of commerce, rotary clubs, and business associations from the Saint Paul East Metro area and Western Wisconsin present this once-a-year opportunity to network and hear about issues of interest to business. This year’s event will focus on the role stadiums play in economic development.

The Great Stadium Debate
A panel of key voices in the stadium controversy will answer many of the burning questions in this contentious debate including the following:
- What are the key issues in deciding that a new stadium should be funded by public funds?
- How does a stadium benefit the citizens that don’t ever attend a game?
- What plans are in the works for new stadiums?
- Why should the ownership of the team bear the cost of a stadium?

BizTech is designed to provide our members with information on how to best utilize technology in their businesses as well as showcase the latest technologies and trends emerging today. The event will begin with a light breakfast and networking session and will feature a keynote on technology and innovation over lunch. The event will include a full day of educational breakout sessions and time to walk through the Tech Expo featuring Chamber member businesses and enter to win prizes.

Tech Expo Information:
A full range of vendors, including specialists in software, websites, hardware, peripherals, e-commerce, consulting are expected to participate in the Tech Expo. The Expo will be open throughout the day for attendees to participate in interactive demonstrations and speak with industry experts about best practices and business solutions.

Each booth space will include a 6’ skirted table with two chairs. Vendors are encouraged to bring portable displays and/or product demonstrations and we will work with you to make space available. All Tech Expo booths will be listed on the event program and the BizTech page of the Chamber’s website prior to the event.

Attendees will be encouraged to visit every booth through the use of the Technology Ticket. Attendees who complete the Technology Ticket by visiting every booth will be entered into a drawing for door prizes and giveaways!
